The NDIS is continuing to roll out across Western Australia. Over the next few months, we will be running group and individual workshops for people with disability, their families and carers. Register now, it’s free to attend and places are limited.
Information sessions for people who are deaf and hard of hearing, people who are blind or have low vision and people who are deafblind
As part of these series of information sessions, Senses Australia and the NDIS in WA are hosting sessions specifically for people who are deaf and hard of hearing, people who are blind or have low vision and people who are deafblind.
Auslan interpreters will be available on the day. You can arrange a 1:1 session with a Senses Australia staff member to discuss your individual circumstances and the NDIS in WA. If you would like a 1:1 session you must book in advance.

Free workshops for people with disability, their families and carers
We will also be running group and individual workshops in the NDIS roll-out areas. The next workshops will be held in Bunbury for people who live in Bunbury and surrounding areas. You can choose to attend either a group workshop, individual session or both. Please check your booking to ensure you have booked for the session/s you wish to attend.
When: Monday, 25 June 2018 to Tuesday, 26 June 2018
Where: Hay Park Community Hall – 4 Stephen Street, Bunbury (this venue is wheelchair accessible and free parking is available).
These workshops will cover:
- Introduction to the NDIS
- NDIS eligibility
- Registering with NDIS
- NDIS planning/goal setting process
- Using your funding to choose a service provider
- Preparing for your individual NDIS meeting
All attendees will be provided with an information booklet and planning document to support you at your initial NDIS planning meeting. Please feel free to bring along a family member or support person.
