2017 Service Excellence Awards

We are calling on you to help us recognise our staff for the wonderful contributions they make each and every day.  Be sure to nominate an individual or team in the one of the following categories:

Individual – Health Professional Employee

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award the employee must be in one of the following employment categories: Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, Deafblind Consultant or Psychologist.

Criteria

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding individual performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  1. Effectiveness in demonstrating excellence and/or innovation in the execution of their duties;
  2. Establishing strategic partnerships with other agencies including community groups;
  3. Clearly demonstrate and promote Senses Australia’s values;
  4. Strengthening partnerships and support services to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes for people with disability.

Individual – Support Worker

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award the employee must be in the following employment category: Support Worker.

Criteria

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding individual performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  1. Effectiveness in developing and implementing excellence client care and continuous improvement strategies;
  2. Demonstrating and promoting Senses Australia’s values;
  3. Strengthening partnerships and support services to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes for people with disability;
  4. Participating in or promoting activities which support individuals, families, carers or the community in protecting the rights of people with disability and their valued role within the community.

Individual – Non Support Worker/Professional

Eligibility

This category is open to all employees (excluding the Chief Executive Officer and General Managers) not listed under either Health Professional or Support Workers.

Criteria

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding individual performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  1. Demonstrating excellence and/or innovation in the execution of their duties;
  2. Clearly demonstrating and promoting Senses Australia’s values.
  3. Making a significant contribution to the development and improvement of work practices, procedures or equipment that results in substantial benefits to Senses Australia;
  4. Inspiring the performance Senses Australia most desires and serving as a model for that behaviour, for others to emulate.

Team Award

Eligibility

This category covers all groups within Senses Australia which can loosely or formally be defined as being a team because of their combined and common purpose.

Criteria

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding team performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  1. Achieving excellence and/or innovation both as a team and in the execution of their task;
  2. Clearly demonstrating and promoting Senses Australia’s values;
  3. Demonstrating leadership with their teamwork.

Safety Award

Eligibility

This category is open to all employees and teams of employees excluding the Chief Executive Officer, General Managers and the OSH Coordinator.

Criteria

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding safety performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  1. Identification of hazards and safety risks with Senses Australia;
  2. Achieving excellence and/or innovation in finding solutions to safety issues within Senses Australia workplaces;
  3. Making a significant contribution to the development and improvement of work practices, procedures or equipment that results in substantial improvement to safety at Senses Australia;
  4. Demonstrating safety leadership with their teamwork.

Nominations can be lodged by Senses Australia employees, clients, client’s family or client advocate. Nominations can be submitted using the form below and close Friday, 15 September 2017.
